GO Wasatch Lightening!!!

I must say, there are times when as a parent you just beam with pride for your children and their accomplishments. Last night was one of those times. It was Hannah's last soccer game of the season and they were playing an undefeated team. As the game began, I thought to myself, "well it will be a good experience, even if they lose." But the team was awesome, and Hannah played amazing! I think that everything she has learned over the last 7 years finally kicked in. She made saves that looked professional. There was one save that one of the other coaches and her trainer watched her make, and after they were nearly hugging each other. It was so fun to watch. The parents of the team were all standing and cheering the girls on. One of the other Wasatch teams that had been there practicing came over and sat down and cheered the girls on. It was incredible. I wish I would have taken my camera, but it was so dark I probably couldn't have taken any pictures anyway. But it was one of those times that I wish some how I could record and keep playing over and over. It will have to be that way in my heart and memory. So, I hope I don't sound too boastful, but it was truly one of those times when you just can't stop smiling when you think about what your child has done!! Way to go Wasatch Lightening, you guys were just truly super last night!!

Jill I found your blog!! I am so excited for hannah. That brings back good memories. I will have to get together with her just to play some soccer and make some saves. It would be fun. Tell her to keep it up.
