Great Weekend

I must say that this not working is busy business. First off, we took H our youngest daughter to Missoula Montana to play in a soccer tournament. It was a crazy trip. We left Friday and got up their in the evening. She played her first game on Saturday morning and they team won 6 -0. Their second game that day was to be played in the evening. Let me tell you, the weather changed and they were playing in sleet that night. It was so cold, but they did really well and won 2-1. We then left Montana and drove home that night. It got really dicey through some of the passes and come to find out, the team had to wait an extra day because they closed the pass that was the worst on Sunday. So that was an adventure.

We've found a place in Tremonton to rent and Hannah has practiced with the soccer team up there. They seem to be another one of those wonderful groups of girls that just took her in and she's now a part of them.

This weekend was a wonderful one. First of all, I must say that I really enjoyed Conference. I found it uplifting and inspirational. I loved how they kept encouraging us to be of good cheer, to be obedient to God's comandments, to pay our tithing, and to serve others and that all will be well. I'm going to be more committed to these principals. It was so nice to listen and be filled spiritually again. It seems like my cup gets pretty empty in between Conferences. I love Conference weekends and being with the family! We can just crash around the house and then afterwards go and visit others we seldom get the chance to visit.

Then, last night for our Family Home evening, we took our family and a few friends down to a wonderful concert at Cottonwood High. It was a benefit concert for Paul Cardall. What an amazing person he is. There are so many people that care about him and his family. It was fun and there were some really talented musicians there. I look forward to getting some of their music and filling my house with it. Then at the end, Paul even though he is so extremely ill, played a beautiful song he wrote for a cardiac patient he got to know in the hospital. Her name was Gracie. It was one of the most beautiful pieces I've heard. It has been a truly great weekend and I feel very blessed for having been a part of it.
