It is incredible to me how much stuff we have. As I've been packing and going through things, I am truly amazed at how much we have accumulated over the 12 + years we've lived here. I pack and pack and it doesn't seem to make a dent in what we need to pack and move. I just hope we will be able to get everything we want packed in time. I have been able to see where we've been excessive and I want to make sure that we don't do this in our next home. I like the thought of simplifying our needs and not give into our wants so much.
As I look at what we have and ponder on it, I realize just how blessed I've (We've) been. When Logan came home off his mission, to sit down to a full dinner each and every night was overwhelming to him because we have so much and those he had served in the Dominican Republic had so little. He told us how most people just lived day-to-day trying to make enough money to put a little food on the table each night for their families. When it's his turn for family prayer, he often will pray that those without food will be able to find what they need to survive. It is really eye-opening to the needs of others.
Well, I just wanted to take a break and now I must get back to packing. . . . . . . .

It is amazing what you amass. We packed up most of the non-essential but not get rid of stuff a year ago and it fills a whole room in our basement. WE got rid of tons and tons and tons on top of that and we are still living with a lot. I have to wonder where it all came from. If we ever do sell the house, am not sure I want to open up those boxes or just get rid of them. We have lived without them for over a year now!
Oh packing is the worst!!! If you need any help just let me know!! We can also help load if you need to as well!! Jonn is a great at helping move the heavy stuff!! Seriously call if you need anything!!
Say, if you need any help I am here for you. I can do anything you need done, just let me know and I will be there. I am a good packer!!!
we will all miss you terribly when you move! your family is such a pillar of strength and such a wonderful example of living Christ-like lives! It's nice to know that we will still be able to keep in touch through the blog! We do take so much for granted! I remember being so grateful for grass in the Philippines, because where we lived, there wasn't any and when the wind blew, it blew dirt everywhere, especially in my eyes (underneath my contacts)! I was also very appreciate of A/C units, as it was very hot and we didn't have one in our apt. or any of the homes we taught in, but at the mission home, it was a taste of heaven: grass, carpeted rugs you could actually put your bare feet on without fearing, hot running water that actually ran from a tap (that you didn't have to strain and boil first), A/C and etc. Yes, we take a lot of things here for granted!!!!
