YIPEE!! He's Home

I can't tell you what fun it's been to have "L" our son home. He is doing so well. Well, except he still wants to talk in Spanish. He says Good-afternoon to everyone and he is so polite! His mission was a huge success. We've had so much fun doing family things. But first things first.

We arrived at the Salt Lake Airport on Thursday. We had to wait about 15 minutes before his plane came in. Our youngest daughter "H" kept inching forward toward where people come out of the secure area in hopes of grabbing him first. We had to show her the sign that says "NO ENTRY" and told her that if she went beyond that point they would arrest her. That was enough to keep her back a few feet. Needless to say - she was the first to grab "L" and hug him. He was totally shocked, no blown away at how tall and grown up she is now.

We all had a fun time being with him and just seeing him again. The people at the airport were great and just stood back and let us at him.

He came in with one of his companions, Elder "D" who is from SLC. It was great to get a picture of them together one last time. They both were giving their Homecoming reports on Sunday and so weren't able to attend one another's reports. However, I think they will stay in touch as they good friends.

All in all we have been very blessed and are so happy to have our family together again. I know it won't be for long as "M" is moving back down to MOAB where she loves to go for the summer and river guide.
As a mom I couldn't be more content than this. It is one of those times where you just close your eyes and take a deep breath and know this is a blessed time. I look forward to many more such days and times with family. I look forward to our family growing and many more days of contentment. I love this. . . .

Welcome home "L". It doesn't seem that long ago he left, but of course I am not the mom, which I am sure it felt like at least two years. You are blessed. How neat to have the whole family together!!
